Can I Use Sparkling Water with Molecular Hydrogen Tablets?Updated a day ago

Short answer: No, we don’t recommend using sparkling or carbonated water with Vital Reaction Molecular Hydrogen Tablets.

Why Sparkling Water Doesn’t Work Well

Even high-quality sparkling waters (like Pellegrino) contain dissolved CO₂. This carbon dioxide interferes with the tablet’s reaction, preventing it from fully dissolving and producing molecular hydrogen.

What happens when you use carbonated water:

  • The CO₂ disrupts the reaction process.

  • Hydrogen is not produced as effectively.

  • Rising bubbles cause hydrogen to escape faster.

The result? Lower hydrogen levels and a less consistent experience.

What to Use Instead

Vital Reaction® tablets are designed to work best in still, non-carbonated beverages such as:

  • Plain water (ideal)

  • Purified or distilled water (best for reducing mineral interference)

  • Light juices or lemonade

💡 Tip: Room temperature water works best — it allows the tablet to dissolve fully and release hydrogen more effectively.

Tried Sparkling Water Anyway?

If you experiment with sparkling water, here’s what you might notice:

  • The reaction is slower or uneven.

  • Hydrogen may escape more rapidly.

  • You’ll likely get weaker hydrogen levels, meaning less benefit from each tablet.

Quick Takeaway

For the best results, stick with still water. It gives your body — and your wallet — the full benefit of each hydrogen tablet.
